The Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) service line offers skilled, rehabilitative, palliative and community based services provided by experienced interdisciplinary teams. VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) provides primary and secondary care to a large geographic area that includes 20 counties in Northern Nevada and Northeastern California. Approximately 120,000 veterans reside in this region. The Reno campus operates 64 hospital beds and 60 community living center (nursing home) beds. There are four community based outpatient clinics and one rural health outreach clinic.

DUTIES:
VASNHCS in Reno, NV is seeking a full-time board certified/ board eligible Geriatrician to fulfill the role of Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC). This is a clinical and administrative position that provides leadership and management over the GEC programs at VASNHCS. The preferred candidate will have strong communication skills, pertinent experience, teaching skills, experience in administration! /performance improvement, and be board certified or eligible in geriatrics and palliative medicine.
Recruitment and Relocation expenses may be authorized.
Position isnotcovered by the Bargaining Unit.
