The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is seeking an academic internist who is board certified in Internal Medicine. The physician will function as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing clinical care to patients in an inpatient setting. As an attending physician, the responsibilities include providing medical evaluation and directing overall management of patients in collaboration with other members of the health care team. If desired, opportunity for outpatient work may be available. The i! ncumbent is responsible for the supervision and education of I! nternal Medicine Residents and medical students from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Internal Medicine consultation requested from other services would be provided by the medical resident under the supervision of the incumbent. Support from pulmonary/crucial care, cardiology, neurology, and other medical and surgical specialties is available on a 24/7 basis. Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses are not authorized for this position Relocation/Recruitment incentive is authorized for this position This position is covered by the bargaining unit Work Schedule: Full-Time
