Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/12/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A primary care physician is needed to fill in on a locum tenens basis at this hospital's outpatient clinic. The work will commence immediately upon the completion of credentialing and will last for a period of six months, or until a permanent hire can be identified. Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Interna! l medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterize! d by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
The physician shall have an active BLS and DEA prior to the start date.
