Internist - Rheumatology

Location: Nellis AFB, Nevada

Description: Chenega Corporation is looking of Internist - Rheumatology right now, this job will be presented in Nevada. Performs and diagnostic procedures, including x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests. Interprets test results and evaluates examination findings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to the

following:
·

Formulates plans and procedures for rheumatology services. Advises on type and quantity of supplies and equipment. Coordinates rheumatology services with other medical activities. Instructs interns and residents, when applicable, in procedures and methods of internal medicine.

·

Provides inpatient rheumatology services during normally scheduled hours of performance, to include on-call hours when applicable.

·

Provide one-on-one instruction for adult nurse practitioner students, physician assistant interns, medical students, interns, and residents in the form of clinical rotations as requested by the Director of Education.

·

Perform the following as the situation dictates:
·

Consult with appropriate specialists.

·

Write initial admission orders.

·

Prescribe and administer drugs.

Supervision

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Current board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine in Rheumatology.

Completion of a residency or fellowship in internal medicine acceptable to the Surgeon General, USAF, is mandatory.

Education and/or Experience

Completion of an additional residency or fellowship program in rheumatology acceptable to the Surgeon General, HQ USAF, is mandatory.

Must be capable of performing the full range of rheumatology services.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Current board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiology.
