QuarterLine provides professional health care staffing services to military hospitals and health clinics across the United States. We are currently seeking a full-time Internist - Oncology at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Responsibilities:
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
Diagnoses and treats diseases. Prepares and reviews case histories and clinical records. Performs and diagnostic procedures, including x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests. Interprets test results and evaluates examination findings. Prescribes such treatment for internal diseases as drugs, physical therapy, and dietary regimens. Formulates plans and procedures for oncology services. Advises on type and quantity of supplies and equipment. Coordinates oncology services with other medical activities. Instructs interns and residents, when applicable, in procedures and methods of internal medicine. Inpatient Services. Provides inpatient oncology services during normally scheduled hours of performance, to include on-call hours when applicable. Participation in teaching programs, when applicable. Provide one-on-one instruction for adult nurse practitioner students, physician assistant interns, medical students, interns, and residents in the form of clinical rotations as requested by the Director of Education. Perform the following as the situation dictates: Consult with appropriate specialists. Write initial admission orders. Prescribe and administer drugs. The Internist - Oncology will generally work between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:
Certification. Current board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine in Oncology. Residency. Completion of a residency or fellowship in internal medicine acceptable to the Surgeon General, USAF, is mandatory. Completion of an additional residency or fellowship program in oncology acceptable to the Surgeon General, HQ USAF, is mandatory.
